Certified Orthoptist. The practice is comprised of five
physicians, four orthoptists and four offices.
The qualified candidate should possess a bachelor's
degree, two years of orthoptic experience and will be responsible for patient
examinations (with physicians and in private orthoptic
clinics), and resident teaching (clinical and didactic).
An American Orthoptic Council certification (will
also accept reciprocal certification from the Canadian
Orthoptic Council) will also be required.
Technical skills would be a plus (retinoscopy,
refraction, conducting ERG's, and surgical assisting).
Academics are encouraged and research and publishing
opportunities are present.
