| Dr. Rao has been
with Children’s Eye Care since 1997. He is an
Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department
of Ophthalmology at Wayne State University. His
primary hospital affiliations include Children’s
Hospital of Michigan, William Beaumont Hospital,
and St. Joseph Mercy-Oakland. He practices
comprehensive pediatric ophthalmology, with
special interests in the management of pediatric
cataracts, adult strabismus and double vision.
He is active in the teaching of ophthalmology
residents and fellows, as well as pediatricians
and other physicians in the community. He
participates in clinical research projects,
including national multi-center trials. He has
been recognized as a “Top Doc” in metro Detroit.
He is a member of the American Association for
Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, Michigan
Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and the
American Academy of Ophthalmology.
