| Dr. Baker served
as Chief of Ophthalmology at Children’s Hospital
of Michigan from 1985 to 2004. Since 2004, he
has been Chairman of the Board of Trustees at
Children’s Hospital of Michigan. He is Clinical
Professor of Ophthalmology at Wayne State
University School of Medicine.
Dr. Baker has spoken all over North America,
in many foreign countries and has delivered
several named lectures. Dr. Baker’s clinical and
research interests encompass pediatric
cataracts, strabismus and retinopathy of
prematurity and include participation in
National Institute of Health, National Eye
Institute sponsored research trials. He has
authored numerous publications and textbook
chapters.
Dr. Baker has been named in The Best Doctors
in America, the Best Doctors in the Midwest and
Top Docs in Detroit. He is currently President
of the Children’s Eye Foundation, Past-president
of the American Association for Pediatric
Ophthalmology and Strabismus and a member of the
American Academy of Ophthalmology, American
